We have been working with skills providers, strategic planners, employers and other key partners to support the development of integrated employment and skills programmes. This includes helping organisations to work together so that they can support people to improve their ‘employability’ – that is, their ability to move into a sustainable job, continue acquiring skills and progress at work.
Our work includes a wide variety of participative events, workshops and master classes that are tailored to suit the different organisations that want to create integrated employment and skills solutions. We are currently supporting the further development and evaluation of national programmes such as Skills for Jobs and the Employability Skills Programme, as well as regional initiatives including the London Employability Demonstration Pilots and ESOL Transition Fund. Licence to Skill is being used as a tool to support these activities.
There is a range of reports and updates relating to this work that can be downloaded on this page. These include the Employability Evaluation Framework documents which are being used to review and report on a number of employability programmes.
