Licenced to Skill 09
Licence to Skill 2009 is a new suite of tools designed by JH Consulting to help organisations work together more effectively to develop and deliver integrated ‘pathways’ that can better support people to improve their skills, move into sustainable jobs and be successful at work.  It also encourages the development of services that can help people to take an active role in their communities and support their families more effectively.

At the heart of the approach is ‘segmenting’ and understanding groups of people and employers so that services can be tailored to meet their differing needs and goals.  Delivery and funding organisations find that this customer focused approach is more effective in:
  • Enabling delivery partners to work to their strengths and to develop tailored, integrated employment and skills pathways that truly add value for their clients
  • Making sure that people and employers get the right kinds of programmes and support, including for health, housing and other ‘non skills’ needs
  • Using resources and investment more efficiently and effectively, and establishing partnerships of mutual business benefit.

The approach is enabling many organisations to develop and deliver services that are more effective for individuals and employers, whilst at the same time establishing partnerships that are of mutual business benefit.

We have a suite of Licence to Skill 2009 tools, developed through extensive work with delivery and funding organisations. To provide the maximum impact and quality, we offer the tools with a ‘pick and mix’ range of bespoke consultancy to suit your organisation/partnerships need, for example:

  • Working sessions to enable your staff to get the skills and knowledge to use the tools effectively
  • Facilitated workshops to help you and your partners to take forward integrated employment and skills pathway development.
  • Follow up support to maximise the impact and benefits of using the approach.
